Enter your name and the Date and Reporting Period (i.e. Start Date to End Date) usually reports on due on Friday classes. They are a weekly report so they cover all the work from the Previous Friday, typically assignments or work undertaken beginning the previous Friday and continuing to the succeeding Thursday.
Report Narrative: The Report Narrative should be one or two paragraphs describing what you have done since the previous report. Be as detailed as possible. If you didn't do anything say so, but that does imply you are not making progress. A report that is sparse, that is doesn't say much, also implies that you didn't do much. Say what you did.
Describe any difficulties that you had -- if you think you need help in some area, let me know. We can arrange to get together or I can make a point of covering that aspect in class. BE SPECIFIC -- I did exercises: 2.39 through 2.43. etc. -- Describe the things you think you understand, the things you are a bit "iffy" on, and the things about which you are CLUELESS. You could even go so far as to give them those headings.
UNDERSTAND -- list the things you think you understand
UNCERTAIN OF -- list the things you feel a bit shaky about, sort of understand, but concerned about making mistakes.
CLUELESS ABOUT -- what have you found most difficult or simply don't understand. You can't get help if you don't ask for it. What is confusing you?
HOURS ON TASK -- How many Hours/Minutes have you spent working on the material. You should have this data if you are keeping your Journal properly. Remember a Journal has: 1) PLANS -- which lists what you are working on, usually a Plan should be prepared every day you work, 2) TRACKING which includes the time you spent working on tasks and what you accomplished and 3) PROGRESS SUMMARIES -- this is the part where you summarize all you accomplished -- Did you accomplish the plan? Did you experience any difficulties? How did you work them out. All of that sort of thing. Finally you should sum up all the time you worked on that Plan and List it. So many hours or minutes. That's about all there is to it.
