CSCI225 Mathematical Structures for Computer Science

Doing as many problems as possible will hone your understanding and skills.  The following problems are to be turned in as homework, but the student that really wants to learn the material should do as many problems as possible.  One does not achieve a deep understanding of one's materials unless one shapes them, plays with them, observes and manipulates them to see what happens.  That requires a lot of exposure to gain any kind of deep understanding.

Homework Section 1.1 every fourth problem from 1 to 61, i.e. 1,5,9,13, ..., 61

Homework Section 1.6 every other problem from 1 to 31 by 2's, i.e. 1,3,5, ... 31 Note that answers may be found in your text starting on page S-1.  Do the work as clearly as you can without checking the answers.  Then check the answers and revisit the problems that you got wrong.
