Text: Keep Moving! It's Aerobic Dance, 3rd edition, Esther Pryor & Minda Kraines
Purpose: Improvement in overall health - this includes physical, mental, emotional and social health.
Objectives: Upon completion of this course, the student will have
1.) Further developed:
a. Aerobic capacity and improved the cardiorespiratory system.
b. Strength and flexibility of all muscle groups of the body.
c. Agility, rhythm, coordination and good posture.
d. A slower resting heart rate
2.) An understanding of
a. the fitness mindset.
b. stress management and relaxation techniques.
c. positive eating strategies.
d. weight management techniques, including body composition assessment.
e. the unique personalities who are sharing this aerobic experience, through reinforced social interaction.
f. safe aerobic techniques.
3.) Choreographed and performed an aerobic dance
4.) Choreographed and performed an aerobic holiday theme dance.
