The BC library and Chemistry Dept. have a number of resources for searching for chemical literature. The numbered list below is provided as a suggestion for the order of your search.
REMEMBER: The STN/CAS Online searching should only be done after 5pm!!! We receive a 90% cost reduction for searches after 5pm, so DO NOT log in until AFTER 5pm. Usernames and passwords are available from your advisor.
Approach your search in the following order
Write down a list of keywords that describe your project. If you know the author(s) and/or journal and/or publication date(s), write down those as well.

If it is AFTER 5pm, you can use our STN/CAS access (with the permission of your advisor) STN Web access click here for instructions Once you have obtained the bibliographic list of your search results, you can do one of the following: 1) Click on the hypertext links within STN to download the articles (if available).
