Welcome All!My motivation for working in psychology was to find a way to integrate my interests in medicine, mathematics, and the brain in disordered states. My primary research interest is in the neuropsychological study of memory and language dysfunction in Alzheimer's disease (AD). I am particularly interested in coupling cognitive neuroscience paradigms and neuropsychological techniques. I have investigated functional performance, memory and cognitive disturbances in particular, in young adult to adult populations (including some work with epileptic children at Miami Children's Hospital and mother-infant psychophysiological responses). My teaching and research interests include brain-behavior relationships such as human neuropsychology of memory and dementia. I teach neuroscience and psychology courses such as cognitive neuroscience, statistics, and memory & cognition. My true passion is with Alzheimer's research and educating dementia patients, students, and the public on brain and behavior relationships in neurological disorders such as AD. A respected teacher with a dedicated and optimistic attitude and an adaptable technique has the power to shape the course of students' lives. This is my service to and goal for you here at Bridgewater. Welcome, and come for a visit ! |
